Neaco’s Spectrum Duplex balustrade system, combining satin polished stainless steel with powder coated aluminium, received top marks from specifiers as part of a refurbishment at Long Field High School in Leicestershire.
A former gym building was converted into a learning area with a mezzanine floor featuring Spectrum Duplex. Jason Prosser, project supervisor at Leicestershire County Council, is very familiar with Spectrum and had no hesitation in selecting the product. “I’ve used Spectrum over many years on a variety of projects,” he said. “The occasions when I haven’t been able to specify Spectrum have often made me appreciate its qualities more. The system combines precision manufacture and high durability with excellent aesthetics. Neaco’s technical support and customer service on Long Field High School project was, as ever, first class.” “Our Duplex system is becoming a very popular specification in schools,” said Neaco’s sales director, Alan Green.
“This is largely because our nylon powder coated handrails are smooth, non-chip and warm to the touch whilst the satin polished stainless steel element brings a high-class aesthetic. Specifiers can therefore get the best of both worlds by choosing Spectrum Duplex with a nylon coated top rail and stainless steel balustrade below.” Requiring no welding for assembly, Spectrum’s versatile modular design has the capacity to meet virtually any design permutation or installation requirement. As well as the Duplex option, the system is available in stainless steel only or nylon coated aluminium only in a wide range of solid or metallic colours. Its wide range of design options includes offset glass infill, offset top rails with multi-rails or glass, and a choice of tapered or straight flat-bar stanchions.
